About the KINK GUITAR PEDALS Stab Zone

The Kink Guitar Pedals Stab Zone is a ferocious distortion pedal loosely inspired by the 1990s Danelectro Fab Tone, itself derived from the Boss Metal Zone.

The Metal Zone MT-2 was the early '90s successor to the successful Heavy Metal HM-2. The HM-2 was typically used with all the controls maxed out, so the Metal Zone which followed was engineered with much more gain on tap.

The Danelectro Fab Tone was a hybrid of MT-2 and DOD Grunge, and like the Grunge it ditched the MT-2's three-band EQ for simpler Treble and Bass controls. It was a preferred pedal on early Mogwai albums.

The Kink Guitar Pedals Stab Zone amalgamates these pedals to pack in an incredibly effective EQ with fixed peaks at 120Hz and 3KHz. It has plenty of low-end chug and is capable of upper-range definition or a more scooped, '90s-style distortion.
