The Electro-Harmonix Big Muff has gained almost mythical status in certain circles. First produced in 1969, the Muff fuzz has gone through several iterations and is closely associated with guitarists such as David Gilmour, Jack White and Billy Corgan.
Unlike the Tubescreamer's mild overdrive, low shelf and mid-hump, the Big Muff features a fat bottom end with a mid-scoop and thick, wooly sustain.
