    FORMULA B Fuzz Rangers

    Combined Rangemaster & Fuzz Face

    £194.99

About the FORMULA B Fuzz Rangers

The Formula B Fuzz Rangers takes two iconic circuits and encloses them in a beautifully finished chassis with vintage-style controls.

New for 2024, the Fuzz Rangers now includes top-mounted jacks and simultaneous channel off using just one footswitch.

With the option to run the Fuzz or Boost independently, it's an incredibly flexible pedal for your pedalboard, but where it gets interesting is that there's a toggle to set the direction of the signal. You can choose whether to run the Boost into the Fuzz, or vice-versa. The results differ dramatically...

Running the Boost into the Fuzz saturates the input of the Fuzz Face circuit and gets you a rich, warm, super-fuzzy character.

Running the Fuzz into the Boost gets you a clearer tone with plenty of volume to push your amp.

More than simply for fans of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, this pedal will serve you well with its vintage vibe and tonal flexibility.

    Fuzz Rangers Fuzz Circuit

The Fuzz circuit is based on the silicon Fuzz Face, using a pair of NOS military-spec BC108 transistors and carbon-layer resistors. It sounds great on its own, and reacts really nicely to your guitar's volume pot - as genuine Fuzz Faces do.

    Fuzz Rangers Boost Circuit

The Boost circuit is based on the Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster, with silicon BC549 transistors to reduce compatibility problems (polarity, power etc) with the Fuzz circuit.

Uniquely, there's a toggle switch to adjust the Boost frequency cut, making it more flexible than a traditional Rangemaster:

Low Gives you a full-frequency response including the bass.

Mid Focuses on the low-mid frequencies for a vintage valve-like frequency response.

Hi Focuses on the upper frequencies for a lovely glassy sound.

    Simultaneous Channel Off

New for 2024, the Fuzz Rangers now allows you to power off both channels of the pedal simultaneously by using only one footswitch - no more tap dancing!

Press and hold the footswitch on the Fuzz side for a few seconds until the status LED starts blinking. You can now use either footswitch to power off both channels together. To return to the standard, independent mode, simply repeat this process.

I looked for a place where FORMULAB Fuzz Rangers is not sold in Japan but is sold on Google.
I found BOOST GUITAR PEDALS selling a reasonable price, and I bought it here without hesitation because I knew it would be delivered to Japan.

I didn't feel worried at all when I found out that Jim was a reliable and reliable person who responded to the chat with a quick response.
    Personality trust removes borders.

I really wanted to get the Fuzz Pedal because it was reviewed by some good guitar players on YouTube.
    It's a great pedal that doesn't disappoint.
Fuzz's ability to follow the volume is good, and above all, the booster function is excellent.
    It's better than I thought.

It's good to imitate Jimi Hendrix at home, and it's the best pedal that can't be buried in the band sound in the studio.

It's an honor to meet this site.
I stayed in England for two weeks 28 years ago and met many wonderful people.
And again, I felt the same way as when I was young.

    Here's to the music.

    Happy with this

Still getting to know it but very happy so far. Nice dirty combos possible with the boost and fuzz on

    Delighted with the Fuzz Rangers

Top pedal, love it. 2 problems solved in a tiny footprint for my small blues board, when I was just looking for a treble booster for getting the Beano sound. The fuzz is really articulate and plays nice with a wah. The numbered dials can be a bit difficult to read but after you've set the fuzz it is really just 2 volume knobs, so numbers matter less than ears!
Cheers Jim. Great service and quick delivery

    Great pedal, great service!

Best prices on the net, in stock and fast delivery. Would buy again. Great sounding pedal and exactly as I had hoped. This one should be on my board for a while!

A great find both pedalwise and shopwise

I came across the Formula B Fuzz Rangers via online demos on Youtube, and they all sounded so good that I had to get one. Looking online I found the Boost Guitar Pedals website via the Formula B website as a listed UK stockist. Jim was excellent and the pedal arrived when he said it would and it was perfectly packaged. I would have no hesitation in buying any other product from Boost.
As for the Fuzz Rangers, it is a great pedal. I had to work at it a touch to get the sounds I liked from it, but it seems to react really well to different guitars and different amps with adjustments to volume and tone on the guitar and different amp settings. I found it works best into a slightly cranked amp, and volume roll-off on the guitar offers a great variety of sounds from clean to classic fuzz. Thoroughly enjoying the pedal. Well done Jim, great website and a great selection of interesting brands and pedals..... Which one next????
