UPDATE – As of 13th December 2024, we are
regrettably no longer able to ship to customers located within the EU or Northern Ireland, due to new GPSR regulations which make it prohibitively expensive for small businesses to operate in the zone.
UPDATE 2 – As of 10th April 2025, we are still shipping to the USA. Please note that due to the volatile political situation relating to tariffs, we may have to cease offering shipping here at short notice.
We offer free 24-hour tracked UK delivery on all orders over £150! Order before 9pm for next-working-day dispatch.
We offer 30-day hassle-free returns so you can pick the item you want safe in the knowledge that if it's not for you, we'll take it back and refund your order.
International deliveries are subject to additional import duties and VAT at your local rate. These charges are payable to the courier at time of delivery. Calculate how much you will need to pay here.
Please note that some orders may take longer to be processed before shipping during the busiest periods of the year.

The customer is responsible for paying return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless a product is proven to be damaged or faulty upon delivery.
It is recommended that items should be returned using a trackable shipping service in case the item goes missing en route.
The Dunn Effects Death Knob is a single-knob blend control which allows you to dial in the unique textural grit, pick attack and aggression associated with the Boss HM-2.
But this isn't a really a distortion pedal - you could describe it more as a “utility pedal”, where you can blend in the classic sound of an HM-2 with its EQ section cranked, adding to your core tone.
“The original inspiration for this pedal came from my own personal needs. At the time, I was playing in a band with a drive leading into an HM-2, but I usually dialled the distortion down on the HM-2 and just used its maxed-out EQ,” Matthew Dunn explains. “I ended up making the Death Knob as a utility pedal to fill that gap. I really liked the HM-2 but just wanted to focus on what I liked about it – namely the EQ section.”
This makes the Death Knob really versatile, as you can set up a killer sound with your favourite distortion pedal and amp combination, and then just wind the Death Knob in until you get the desired amount of texture and aggression.
You can also experiment with running the Death Knob either in front of your amp, or in the effects loop for different responses.
Pretty simple really! One knob, which controls the wet/dry mix of the HM-2 effect with your original, unaffected sound.
Matthew Dunn has been making guitar pedals since 2015. Based in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA, Dunn Effects grew from Matthew's desire to find out more about the pedals he was trading on a regular basis, and also from the need to create the sound in his head that he could take to gigs.
